Message from the Principal, Sister Theresa Yeo of Canossa Convent Secondary School, Melaka, Malaysia
( Sacred Heart Canossian Convent Secondary School )
" The school is the harvest that costs most, but which yields more fruit, for the conduct of one’s life depends on the education one has received."
With the sagacious words of our noble foundress and dedicated educationist, Saint Magdalene of Canossa
( Foundress of the Canossian Sisters and Brothers ), I, Sister Theresa Yeo, principal of Canossa Convent secondary School, Melaka, warmly welcomes all visitors to our homepage.
We are one of the many Canossian educational institutions established for young women world-wide. We work together with the sanction of national governments.
To date, our school is the proud inheritor of a priceless legacy of 90 years of growth and success. We were established in 1905 and proudly celebrated our 90th. Birthday in 1995.
Presently, our school caters to about 750 young women in the age range of 13 to 17, under the wings of a dedicated staff of 41 teachers. Our pupils come from the four main Malaysian ethnic groups ( namely Malay, Chinese, Indian and Eurasian ) and from varied social and religious backgrounds.
Interestingly, we are strategically located, facing a waterway for the great trading vessels from east and West as far back as the 16th. Century.
Thank you for visiting our Homepage and we hope the information we offer proves useful. Visit us as often as you like.
Bye and may God bless you.
Sr. Theresa Yeo
